Halloween is my favourite. Proper Halloween, with carved turnips (swedes in England) and terrible homemade masks made from carboard boxes, and a nice bonfire with apple bobbing and a big mess. Gluten free these days, but I miss my mother’s barm brack. I might see if I can make a gf one this yeart and bring it along. Wouldn’t that be lovely!
